We are the University of Huddersfield's Academic Art Society, established in 2018, a FREE creative community hub of students interested in anything art. We run socials, events, charity promos and our Art Society "ART CAMP" Programme - a series of workshops that provide students creative skills for industry, fun or experimentation.

We hold the grand title of "Academic Society of the Year" for two years in a row (2022, 2023) and we are one of the top 6 societies across all universities in the UK in Committee Excellence!
How can I be apart of the Art Society?
How can I be apart of the Art Society?
Unlike some other societies, as an academic society, we are completely free to join. To become an official member, it's as easy as going here and clicking "join". Any student across the entire university can join.
However, this is not where the journey ends... we have an entire community of people for you to talk with! Our Discord server has our most active group of students. Here, you'll get all the news first, and you'll get to make friends with all sorts of creative people across the university.

What has the Art Society done?
We run a variety of different events and initiatives for students that love art. Whether that's for charity, employability skills, or socials.
Some of the events we've ran in the past are:

ART CAMP workshops in screenprinting, life drawing, figurine & trophy painting and card making

Trips to Manchester and Birmingham Comic Con, and Leeds / Manchester Art Galleries
