The representation team have looked into your idea and have provided the following response:

Incentives would have to be funded and the schools have no budget for this, as demonstrated by their own low response rates. The University will focus its efforts into the big surveys that affect its standing (For instance the National Student Survey), so are unlikely to invest in anything else.

If students are interested, they need to take this forward on a case by case basis within their own schools/courses. The SU will be clear about the message to all students about the value of filling in surveys and giving feedback as a method of effecting change.

Incentive

It’s that time of year again where my mailbox is full of requests from fellow students wanting me to fill out their surveys, and I'm sending out my own surveys along with them! All students SHOULD fill them out, but with the lack of a feedback loop and the sheer number we get, survey response rates can be low.

I propose the introduction of an incentive system to increase student to student survey response rates

There are already incentive systems on some courses for this very issue.
