Official Response:

This idea was submitted during the lockdown restrictions at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This was in response to the University removing all water dispensers off campus at that particular time. 

With the pandemic subsiding and given that the university has reintroduced water dispensers on campus, we will not be pursuing the introduction of contactless water dispensers. There is also a new water dispenser in the SU Shop.
