Introduce Yourself 

Hey there, I'm Rohith Narayan (He/Him), your Activities Officer for this academic year. I'm 23, and I was once an international student (successfully graduated.... pheww!) I made the journey all the way from the breathtaking land of Kerala, India. When I'm not busy, you can often find me enjoying a game of Badminton or Basketball. During my student days, I was deeply involved in various university societies. 

Just like many of you, I had my fair share of struggles navigating the ins and outs of university life and daily routines. But fear not, I'm here to lend a helping hand in any way possible. You'll spot me at the SU office every day, ready for a casual chat if you fancy. And hey, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram too.

Fun fact about you! 

I love Fanta Fruit Twist the most (but most of my friends think that’s cough syrup??) I can eat Spicy Chicken Fry any time of the day. I really do enjoy talking and can’t stop when I start to do so. 

What did you study during University?

I did BEng Mechanical Engineering(Hons) and completed my placement from Airedale International Air Conditioning Ltd.

If you were a fresher student what’s your number one advice that you will give:

Being a fresher is a unique experience for everyone. Some have come directly from college, some have changed careers, others have moved cities, and a few have even relocated continents. Each individual requires different tips tailored to their situation. However, there is a common thread that unites all freshers, and that is the process of adapting to their new surroundings. With this in mind, I would like to offer some advice to my new fellow friends. Embrace every opportunity that comes your way. This is your platform for growth, self-discovery, and the realisation of your aspirations. It's a place where you can truly define yourself and attain what you've longed for. So, step forward with enthusiasm, and know that I'll be present at the SU office, ready to support you with all your needs.
