Nat - SU President
Things you've achieved and are proud of
Collaborative work with student service leads- regular health checks
Work with the careers service to improve their website via focus groups and social media feedback from students
Mass growth of social media accounts
Creation of the employability page on the SU website and videos recorded for the careers service on my experiences
Millie - Education Officer
Things you have achieved that you are proud of
Creating a podcast to give marginalised students a platform to share their experiences
Presenting a paper on the experiences students have with Personal Academic Tutors at UTLC and working to improve this
Developing an 'inclusivity checklist' for reps to provide feedback on their course
Working with Meg to develop the Employability Badge
Sadaf - Community Officer
Things you’ve achieved and are proud of:
Collaborative work with Kirklees council on the relaunch of the Ask for Angela campaign.
Establishing a working relationship with the campus police officer.
Makeover of the Hall ambassador scheme with the addition of new volunteering positions.
Banning the use of NDA’s at university, following the guidance set out by the department of education, NUS & Notonmycampusuk
Chido - Equalities Officer
Things you’ve achieved and are proud of:
Being a Consultant and student representative for Diversity, equity and inclusion researching environmental science in the UK section titled - GAIA (geoscience access, inclusion and attainment) to ensure that there was more diversity in the Higher Education field of Environmental Science alongside Raphaella Ward. https://www.ukri.org/news/diversity-equity-and-inclusion-research-in-environmental-science/
Established a working relationship with the University lead for EDI and carried out some workshops on mental health and how to deal with racism and trauma from an ally perspective as well as students or staff perspective.
A platform for students to be heard unfiltered on their experiences especially those in marginalised communities - A dose of Chillie with Millie.
An in-depth knowledge of liberation dates for both staff and students.
