Ahh it’s that time of year again – It’s getting colder, you can see your breath in the air, you can finally wear that trendy coat you’ve been saving all summer…Why is it still night-time when I wake up in the morning?!
The latter part of the year certainly feels special, and of course we’re hosting our annual Bonfire Night in partnership with DIGS at Storthes Hall Park. Last year over 1,300 people attended and this year we’re making it bigger and better than ever before!
The bonfire and fireworks display is open to students, staff and members of the public – there’s something for everyone to enjoy; with lots of fun-packed entertainment, rides for all ages, food stalls and refreshments, including toffee apples and bonfire sweets.
The bonfire has been moved to a better location on the site, meaning it can be bigger than last year and we’ll be putting on a huge fireworks display for the whole family to enjoy.
We put on a number of events throughout the year that are all about bringing students and people from the local community together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to this family friendly event! Admission costs £3 for students, University staff and under 18s, £5 to the general public and under 12s can attend the event free. However, make sure to ditch those sparklers as they won’t be permitted due to health and safety.
The Storthes Hall Park bus service runs from campus every 15 minutes and there is also limited free parking available at the venue for those who wish to drive.
This event has limited spaces, so get your ticket now before they all sell out! To book your place, visit our website.
