If you are a book worm and love getting lost in your fictional world whether it is in Manga, werewolf’s and vampires or a little of classics such as Jane Austen. Either ways would it not be amazing to have somewhere in the university to actually sit comfortably and escape?
For the past year of being at the university I have to go home to read my books since the whole of the student union is basically a cafeteria meaning there is a lot of noise however, yes you are probably thinking why not go to the library?
Because the library is full of academic books, rows of computers and desk !!!!
Overall it not is AMAZING to have a little area in the library that has beanbags and rugs on the floors to sit and relax and not feel under pressure by students who are revising and doing their academic studies. A nice small area with beans bags, Rugs or a small shelf of some fictional books and posters would be great to feel as if we have entered a new world where we can relax and not have the deathly stares from students who are revising or talking loudly!
Sometimes you need to take a break from Academics!

I personally think this is a very good idea and could work well integrated with societies like AAMS and Sci-fi etc.
We have reached 50 likes ! Enough for it to be taken to the council thank you guys ! This means the world for me and others like me who find it difficult to find peace in a university which is basically just a big cafeteria !

This is such a good idea! I would be in there all the time! It would be nice to have somewhere you can just chill and read something between lectures or whatnot, or while waiting for the bus in the evening. It would be great even for taking a half hour break from work in the library during those hardcore study sessions. I hope this goes through :-)
Your Education Officer is currently looking into this and talking with the Library to possibly create a more flexible group space. http://www.huddersfield.su/officers/education
