Volleyball Men’s 1st have ended the BUCS Northern League 3A in stunning fashion completing the season unbeaten and without losing a single set.
The club continued their spectacular form in Varsity where they beat Bradford 3-0 helping Huddersfield lift the trophy.
Club President, Alessandro Sinopoli, said: “The men’s team has competed successfully in the BUCS League for the last four years and have been promoted twice into the upper leagues.
“This season has been magic for the Men’s team and we were selected as a Focus Club by Team Hud who gave us a strength and conditioning programme to work on throughout the season."
“Training hard twice a week alongside the two weekly strength and conditioning sessions helped 13 guys from around the world reach the Northern Conference Cup semi-final and to win the Northern 3A league.
“Alongside this, three of our team members have now achieved their Level One certificates en route to becoming professional volleyball coaches.”
Their journey to the title saw the beat Manchester Met 2nd, Liverpool John Moores 1st, Chester 1st and Keele 1st to record a perfect season of played eight, won eight with a goal difference of 16.
