Due to a change in tour dates both Kimberly Anne and Shazia Mirza have sadly had to pull out from HudLive: Unplugged and HudComedy.
We’ve moved swiftly to add new acts and are proud to announce that the extremely talented Kerri Watt and Fern Brady have agreed to join the respective shows.
The Scottish born singer-songwriter, Kerri Watt, has been gigging with her band across the UK including a spot at Glastonbury Festival and she has also played in America at LA’s legendary Whiskey A Go Go.
Her unique sound is down to her upbringing where she spent her formative years between California and Glasgow while she taught herself guitar when touring the UK as an actor before making the switch to music!
Kerri released her debut EP ‘Who’s Lovin’ Me Now?’ on The Libertines’ Gary Powell’s record label, 25 Hour Convenience Store, in 2014. She’s just played a national UK tour supporting Nina Nesbitt and is getting ready to release her new EP later this year.
Following on with the Scottish theme, Fern Brady, is a razor sharp comedian who made the final of ‘So You Think You're Funny’ at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2011, where she was placed joint third, and the finals of the Piccadilly Comedy Club new act competition in 2012.
She is developing a potent identity with her gravelly attacks upon the delicate boundaries of modern taste with her mordant mirth and The Scotsman said she: “Crackles with fire, has beautiful timing, perfectly pitched delivery and great gags to boot.”
Her caustic observational wit has seen her make appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience, Newsnight and Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular as well as numerous BBC radio slots.
