Are you part of a club or society committee, a student representative, community volunteer or student project leader? If so, did you know you are eligible for the Student Leadership Award?

So what is the ‘Student Leadership Award’?

Developed in partnership with the University Careers and Employability Service the award is a celebration of the hard work you put in as a leader to make student life better for your peers.

The main aim is to help you with the transition from university student to the graduate world by assisting you to create, and complete, a portfolio reflecting how your role as a leader represents the key competencies graduate employers are looking for.

Your portfolio will be assessed against the criteria by a judging panel who will decide whether you are awarded a bronze, silver, gold or Vice Chancellors level award.

For further advice on creating your portfolio you can book on to one of our workshop sessions here.

Remember, the deadline is not far away. Make sure you submit your portfolio via email to the Student Volunteering and Development Manager, Rebecca Milne, by Friday 1 May 2015.

If you have any questions? You can contact the Volunteering team on email, Twitter or in person by visiting the Students' Union Help Desk.
