We are very happy to announce the shortlist for the SU Awards 2015. After careful deliberations our panels of judges have chosen the best of the best from a very strong field of over 240 nominations.
Congratulations to every individual and activity group shortlisted; being chosen as a potential winner of an award is recognition in itself of the hard work and outstanding effort you have put into making student life better this year.
The awards ceremony will take place this Friday 29 May in the Creative Arts Building (CAB) with proceedings getting underway from 19:00. Tickets are free of charge but must be picked up from the Students’ Union Helpdesk (Level 5, Student Central) ahead of the event.
A cash bar will be available on the night serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and this high profile celebration of student achievements has a smart dress code. You can get discounted suit and dress hire from a number of local and online vendors including:
1860 - Discount with NUS Extra Card
Chic-by-Choice - 25% off first student order
Girl Meets Dress - Discount with NUS Extra Card
Hire 5 - 15% discount for University of Huddersfield students
Carl Stuart - Special student package for £35
Thank you to everyone who made a nomination in this year’s awards. Each nomination was put forward to a panel of judges made up of Student Exec Officers and staff, with each panel having a difficult decision on their hands due to the high calibre of candidates and the amazing things they have achieved this year.
For more information on the awards head over to the dedicated area of our website and remember to get your free tickets from the SU Help Desk ahead of the event.
