You’ve no doubt seen over the past few weeks that on Monday 20 April we’re having the biggest party of final term - Spring Break.
You may have also noticed that the event is part of our push to get more people registered to vote in this year’s General Election.
But what does that mean for European Union and International students studying at the University? Surely, they should be allowed to party as well.
You can still register to vote but you can’t vote in the General Election. That said, as an EU citizen who is resident in the UK you are eligible to vote in local authority elections.
So head over to the registration page, fill in the form and then break out your board shorts and head to The Warehouse on Monday for an awesome night of live music and entertainment.
You can still register but you can’t vote. Consider it good practice in getting involved in democracy and gaining an insight into how the British electoral system works.
After registering, grab your friends, sunglasses and best shirt and head to The Warehouse where you’ll enjoy the likes of Freshers’ favourite, Beat A Maxx, The Voice’s Jermain Jackman and much, much more.
It’s impossible highly doubtful that you’ll be issued with a National Insurance number before registration closes on Monday. If you’re in this situation fire an email over to our Student Voice team and they’ll make sure you don’t miss out.
