After waving a tearful goodbye to the previous Officers after an amazing year, it’s time to welcome in next year’s team to pick up where they left off.
Our former VP Education Sabrina has moved up to President, and we welcome four fresh new faces in the form of new Comms Officer Emma Denny; Education Officer Charlotte Jackson; Wellbeing Officer Lianne Hunter; and Activities Officer Dilara Changis.
We wanted to find out a bit more about them, so we sat them all down for a nice cup of tea and a chat and asked them a few pressing questions...
How would you describe yourself in three words?
S: Motivated, approachable, ambitious.
What made you want to become a student officer?
S: I wanted to make the change in the place that I love and the place that I see myself spending the rest of my life in, Huddersfield.
What's one thing you want to achieve this year?
S: I want to facilitate solidarity throughout campus and in turn the national student movement.
Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?
S: I was a cheerleader in high school.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
C: Approachable, friendly, optimistic.
What made you want to become a student officer?
C: I have always been close with members of staff from the Students' Union, from the beginning of my studies to working in the SU shop. I am passionate about making a difference and helping people, so the position seemed perfect for me!
What's one thing you want to achieve this year?
C: This year, my overall aim is to make more students aware of all the services and opportunities the Students' Union can provide.
Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?
C: l will listen to absolutely any music and will watch any film (no matter how bad it is!)

S: I would pay for a gallery space for exhibitions in the University.

How would you describe yourself in three words?
E: Outgoing, Organised, and always Happy!
What made you want to become a student officer?
E: The SU has influenced me greatly during my time at University, so I want to make a positive impact on other students lives!
What's one thing you want to achieve this year?
E: Get more students involved in raising money for charity and ensure we raise at least £22,000.
Tell us one thing we don’t know about you?
E: I did a placement year working as a Marketing Campiagns Intern at Hewlett Packard in Stuttgart, Germany!

E: I'd travel the world and go to as many sporting events and festivals as possible!

L: Bubbly, Passionate and Ambitious
What made you want to become a student officer?
L: I wanted to make a difference to student life and enrich what services we alreaedy have here at the Union.
What's one thing you want to achieve this year?
L: The awareness of the great services we offer to all the students here at Huddersfield.

L: I was a budding gymnast at quite a high level.

D: Friendly, always happy to help, big fan of contemporary art.

D: I want to make difference!

D: Reduce costs for clubs and societies whilst engaging with more student to participate.

D: I can't swim.
