An unprecedented demand for tickets saw students snap them up in record time and set the tone for what is set to be the biggest Refreshers’ Huddersfield has ever seen.
Vice President Student Activities, Jordan Aird, said: "It's great that we've been able to put on such a wide variety of events for Refreshers'.
"It'll be a great way for students to get back into the swing of things and I'm really looking forward to the week. In particular I'm looking forward to HudLive Unplugged as it's a very exclusive event that features a mixture of student acts and a number one selling artist."
The line-up announcement see’s number one selling artist, Josh Kumra, and comedian, Seann Walsh, topping the bill while a third as yet unannounced act is also joining the HudLive Unplugged line-up.
Other events through the week include a revamped HudCrawl featuring a new selection of bars – which will be revealed on the night – and a huge clubs and societies social, Mexican Night.
Free tea and cake is once again on the agenda with the Great British Tea Party where indulgent treats are the order of the day while students can expect freebies and discounts at Refreshers’ Fair.
With one eye on the future, the Summer Jobs Fair is set to be a great opportunity for snapping up end of year work at home and abroad while Friday’s Housing Fair see’s the release of the official HudLets Housing List.
Clubs and societies are being advised that if they would like a place at Refreshers’ fair they need to complete a booking form and return it to the Students’ Union Activities Team as soon as possible.
