Ten Points for Gryffindor! The Quidditch Society hosted a packed out Potter Pub Quiz on 19 March and raised over £200 towards a society trip to Warner Brothers.

Set in Rhubarb, the quiz challenged the participants’ knowledge of all things Harry Potter and it proved so popular that some people were forced to stand.

The quiz was the society’s first event and their creative approach on a tight budget saw them create a ‘Welcome to Hogwarts’ care package while they secured donations for some of the other prizes on offer.

Beth Webb, President of Quidditch Society, said: “We were so happy at the amount of people that turned up - sorry to those that had to stand - and we’ll definitely organise another but maybe with tougher questions.

“We’d like to thank everyone that turned up and got involved, it was so much fun and hopefully there’ll be plenty more where that came from.”

The society play Muggle Quidditch which is a fun way to get active, meet new people and be part of a unisex team while members all share the same love for Harry Potter.

Their aim is to create a team that is good enough to compete at a national level against other universities next year and they offer a range of memberships including social and athletic.
