Hi everyone,
I’m your newly elected Student Activities Officer, Dilara Changis. I can’t wait to meet you all and welcome you to a very special place - Huddersfield Students’ Union.
We have so many events organised for you all to look forward to and be a part of, from HudLive to HudComedy, movie-night to serving cake at the tea party, or simply giving out goody bags and welcoming our new students.
Coming to university is not all about books and studying - there are many incredible and unique opportunities you can participate in. At the University of Huddersfield you can represent the university as a Student Ambassador, work within the Students’ Union and participate in societies and student groups. I urge you all to take the advantage and get involved, meet new people, expand your confidence, communication skills, team work, and - most importantly - have fun and make friends for life.
Volunteers who help for six hours or more will receive a free pass to HudCrawl, HudLive and HudComedy! To participate in this volunteering opportunity you will need to be available for training on Monday 5 September 2016, 13:30-15:00 or Wednesday 7 September 2016, 15:30-17:00.
The training will be held at The Students’ Union, Student Central, Level 5, Meeting Room A.

Also, we have some tickets for the Super League Grand Final, which takes place at the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford on Saturday 8th October. Tickets are on offer for £12 for Students. Book now!
Many thanks,
Dilara Changis
