Hello everyone!

It’s almost Freshers’ Week – just 55 days away in fact, woo!

So, here at Huddersfield Students’ Union we’re already very busy planning the fun activities and events for the week and we look forward to seeing you all getting involved.

The highlight of the week is always HudLive – last year was a huge success with Sigma headlining, and other amazing performances from MistaJam and The Carnabys made it a night to truly remember.

However, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever, so watch out on the 18^th August for the release of the official 2016 line up. Let the countdown commence! (23 days to go!)

Alongside some amazing international names performing at HudLive this year, there’ll also be a chance for student acts to perform in support on our dedicated Student Stage on Friday 23^rd September!

If you’re in a local band or think you have a cracking DJ set, then please get in touch and you could be our Student Stage headliner at HudLive 2016! You’ll have the opportunity to perform in front of 1,800+ students and showcase what you’ve got – what a better way to start the new academic year?

It is super easy to apply; simply send us some evidence of your musical talents to su.events@hud.ac.uk – this could be a link to your Soundcloud, YouTube videos or whatnot, and a shortlisting panel will help us take the best student talent in Huddersfield to our biggest event!

The deadline is 15^th August, and we will let you all know on the 22^nd August if you have been successful or not. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to come up to Floor 5 of Student Central and ask us any questions – we‘re more than happy to help!
