Hey everyone,

So, we have a really cool new project starting at the SU this week; the Student Leadership Fund! It's a great opportunity for you to run a campaign or project throughout the academic year and make a real difference to life on campus. The best part? You get paid! 

Not only is it the perfect chance to turn your idea(s) into reality, but you'll also gain some fantastic experience along the way which will look great on your CV. 

We're looking for 10 enthusiastic and passionate students who, through our new Student Leadership Fund, will become skilled leaders of the future, and we’ll pay, support and train you to deliver a project alongside your studies here at University. We want to empower our students to make the change they want to see and reach out to those we normally don’t connect with through the academic year.

This project will give you the chance to try something totally new; ensuring you leave University even more employable! (it's a win win situation really...)

To apply it's super simple, I promise – visit the webpage here, and write us a small pitch of no more than 750 words (answering the key criteria listed below) and submit it by 9:00am, Monday 24th October (phase 2).

Key criteria to address when writing your application:

• What do you want to achieve? Why?
• Why do you think the SU should support you?
• What skills do you hope to develop through delivering your project?
• How can other students engage with your project?

If you're struggling for ideas, don't worry! We've made a little PowerPoint with loads of amazing ideas that will hopefully help you plan a campaign, fundraising event or idea. Apply now to make sure a slice of this Student Leadership Fund is yours! And, don't forget, have fun with it; the campaign can be as crazy as you want (to be honest, the crazier the better in my books!)
