Hello and good morning to all our new and returning students! We have so much in store for you over Freshers’ 2017 AND we can finally talk to you all about it now that our line-up has officially launched!

So what do we have in store, I hear you say…

To kick start your week we are hosting the epic Freshers’ Fair in the University Sports Hall. This is your chance to chat with loads of Sports Clubs and Societies as well as getting your hands on loads of freebies! But be quick, the first 5,000 get a free goodie bag!

After a day full of course inductions and Fresher’s Fair freebies we thought you might need some comic relief. HudComedy is back and way more than just your average comedy gig. This year we are proud to announce that our HudComedy Headline Act for Fresher’ Festival 2017 is Chris Ramsey! You may know him from his appearances on Celebrity Juice!

Tuesday marks the start of Freshers’ Fair round two, more time to meet with Sports Clubs and Societies and find out about exciting volunteering opportunities! After Freshers’ Fair comes HudCrawl, Huddersfield’s biggest night out and your chance to familiarise yourself with eight of the towns best bars and clubs. This event if your chance to mingle with 2,000 new students so be quick because tickets sell out fast!

On Thursday we are throwing it back with our Retro Themed Campus Tea Party and Vintage fair. Get your hashtags at the ready for all those obligatory pictures of cake. Later on there is a chance to let off some steam and celebrate the best days of your life with our brand new #tbt Back to School Party. The incredible old school line-up features Big Brovas, Booty Luv, Platnum and Sweet Female Attitude.

This year we are bringing you the biggest HudLive to date! Expect a true festival experience with food tents, free fun fair rides and a chill out zone. Not to mention our massive Headliners Chase and Status, alongside our brilliant supporting line-up including Karen Harding, Kiss the Thief and John Gallagher.
