Hey guys,
So as you all already know, we are quickly approaching the start of a new academic year. It's almost that time again to hang up the summer clothes, reset our phone alarms and start waking up at the crack of dawn as we head back to reality after a long break and a hot summer. However, we all know what September means... FRESHERS'! At the Students' Union, our teams have been working hard to make sure that Freshers' Festival 2016 is the biggest and best week EVER!
We have a bunch of fantastic events on at this years Freshers’ each day throughout the week, so if staying up late and partying until your feet fall off isn't for you, don't worry because there's something for everyone.
There will be a variety of fairs throughout the week, starting with our massive Freshers' Fair which will be bigger than ever with 100+ stalls! We also have lots of events planned off-campus, including trips and a party with our bar across the road, The Warehouse! We want to see everyone ready with their party hats on, because it's one you won't want to miss…
If you're planning on a crazy night out with your mates, then HudCrawl is the event for you! With a pub crawl around our local pub/clubs in Huddersfield, if it's your first time around or your 50th, HudCrawl 2016 is bigger and better than ever before with the capacity for over 1,800 students!
Not forgetting... HudComedy is here again! We have various different comedians lined up for you at this event, including a hilarious headliner who we’ll reveal soon. So make sure to bring your tissues with you to this one, because you'll be crying with laughter all night long!
HudLive is also back! There are some amazing acts lined up for you on our main stage, including one you definitely will NOT want to miss (The announcement is coming soon, so keep your eyes on the SU website). We also have our student stage, where we will see music from various different acts from your fellow students. If you want to get involved, then get in touch with the Students' Union events team to be a part of this years HudLive. It will be an amazing night and an amazing week, so I hope to see as many of you as possible at all of our events - having a blast and making your Freshers' 2016 a week you will never forget!
Make sure you all keep your eyes on your emails and our website for all announcements and releases. You can grab your tickets at 12:00pm on Thursday - it's a first come first served basis, so hurry up before they’re all gone!
And lastly, have an AMAZING time at whichever event you all choose!
See you all soon,
Charlotte Jackson
