After a number of successful events over the past year, we're now happy to announce that this year we will be partnering with The Warehouse!

The venue offers great facilities perfectly suited for students such as free printing, free phone charging, and a beautiful beer garden, already very popular with our students.

When looking for our new partnership, we took all this into account and decided that The Warehouse will be a perfect fit for our Students' Union partner venue, and we hope that through 2015-16 you'll think so too. 

Warehouse is open from 8:30 until late, with even later openings on Wednesdays and weekends for the party animals amongst you, so you can get a breakfast or a beer at any time of day.

"I think it’s really exciting, and speaks volumes about the University of Huddersfield SU and The Warehouse," said The Warehouse manager Lindsay on the new partnership. "It's really positive that we are working together in unison for all the students, to ensure that they can get the best year that they can get while they’re at university."

After the great success of Spring Break 2015, we received positive feedback by the bucketful. The night was filled with entertainment, great acts and fun, which definitely made it one to remember - and one to repeat.

SU President Mike McGougan commented: “It’s really important that the Students’ Union selects the right venue for a partnership like this in order to make sure we provide students with the services they expect. I’m really pleased that the Students’ Union will be working together with The Warehouse for the benefit of the students and making student life better over the course of this next year!”

Warehouse have also sponsored our sports clubs and societies for years, supporting the student population in their activities and making sure they feel at home. On top of all that, they also help and encourage students to run their own events on site - for example RadioHud Presents.

VP Student Activities Jordan Aird went on to say: "The Warehouse is a fantastic venue that provides social facilities perfect for students, from free printing and games consoles, to pool tables and even phone charging! One of my main focuses for the year is to ensure that our partner bar continues to work effectively alongside the Students’ Union, providing an exceptional service to our students, providing quality facilities for all, alongside ensuring there are plenty of opportunities for students to host their own events at the venue.”

Finally, VP Wellbeing Alysia Ford said of the partnership: "It’s great news because we can make sure that our students are safe and happy when they’re out, whether it’s for a night out, meeting friends or just for lunch. We’re all really pleased in the Students’ Union to be working together with The Warehouse for the benefit of the students and making student life better over the course of this next year!"
