The annual National Student Survey (NSS) opened on Monday 26 January and gives final year students the opportunity to say what they liked about their time at the University of Huddersfield as well as what they felt could have been improved.

Feedback from the survey will be complied into comparative data about individual courses which will be published to help prospective students decide what and where to study.

Over half a million students across the UK take part in the annual survey and key data is used to inform both the University's and Students' Union's policies.

When asked about the importance of the survey the SU's Education Officer, Mike McGougan, said: "It's really important that final year students fill in the National Student Survey.

"Their opinions of life at the University of Huddersfield help both current and prospective students by highlighting potential weaknesses in course provision so it can be improved.

"An added bonus this year is that every student that takes part is being given printer credit which can help with the cost of printing those costly dissertations."

Students that are selected to take part will initially be contacted by email by an independent company called Ipsos MORI, and invited to fill in the survey online.

The Students' Union is asking students to complete the survey at the earliest opportunity as it provides valuable information for prospective students about what it's like to study here and really helps us when we're lobbying the University to make student life better.

As a thank you for taking part, all students who complete the survey by Friday 20 February will receive a £4.99 print credit voucher.*

All students who complete the survey will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten £100 prizes towards their graduation photography package.

*Students who complete the survey by Friday 20 February will receive an email print voucher from Ipsos MORI. You will then need to print out the voucher and take it to the library helpdesk and a member of staff will then add the credit to your account. Please note that you will not be able to forward the email voucher to the helpdesk.
