Mental Health Awareness Week

You’ll no doubt have seen over the weekend that it was World Mental Health Day.

Social Media was full of messages to us all to recognise times when we might be struggling, and how to support others who may be having mental health difficulties.

It is only through understanding what triggers people’s mental distress, and working together to help ourselves that we can start to remove the stigma attached to mental health.

Here at the Students’ Union, we are hosting our own mental health awareness week next week, with five days full of events including a Mental Health Awareness Fair, a timed 5k run, a tea and chat event, and a puppy room(!), as well as tonnes of activities to help you find out more and de-stress.

Ahead of that, we’d love to know what it is that triggers your worries. What do you do when you feel like you need a bit of headspace? And who do you talk to if something is bothering you?

Make sure to fill out our survey and look out for all our activities next week as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.
