Handball (Men’s) continued their stunning season with a victory over previously undefeated Newcastle Vikings to add to their recent success in the University Handball Northern Division.
A powerful and aggressive display from Huddersfield saw them race into an early lead against the Vikings culminating in a 26-14 victory.
The result leaves Huddersfield sitting in third in the England Handball North Regional Development League table having won their last three in the league.
An impressive performance in the development league was complimented by their dominance in the Association of British University Handball Clubs Northern Championships where they took the title after winning all 10 of their fixtures including an 11-6 victory over UCLan and 9-6 win over Lancaster.
Taking the title means the club have successfully qualified for the nationals where they’ll compete against clubs from across the country.
Offering taster sessions every Tuesday in the University Sports Hall from 17:00 to 18:30 at just £1 a go, the club hopes to introduce new people of all ages and abilities to the sport, and to be able to show the new hopefuls all that this new and exciting sport has to offer. The club also boast a women's team and have a qualified coach.
