So it’s that time of the year again! A-level Results day yesterday led us to a midday line-up reveal for all we’ve got planned for Freshers’ Festival 2015! Yesterday was definitely one of the busiest days in the office I've seen so far – even if the majority of it was been spent on social media, congratulating and welcoming new and current Huddersfield students.
Freshers’, you do not know what’s hit you!
Now, when I first arrived in Huddersfield four years ago, I couldn’t tell you what was planned for Freshers’ but it was nowhere near the scale of Freshers' Festival 2015. With a variety of events throughout Freshers’ week and with even more events during International Welcome week, there’s so much for students to enjoy this year.
Our programme of daytime events will include Freshers’ Fair where you’ll be able to meet all of our fantastic clubs and societies (where you can also pick up loads of freebies), as well as the Campus Tea Party and our new addition to the programme, the Vintage Fair! We’ve also plenty of evening events to take your fancy such as The Warehouse Party taking place in our newly appointed partner venue, The Warehouse, Freshers' Festival favourite HudCrawl and not forgetting the biggest event of the week, HudLive!
Freshers’ really does promise to be the best to date. SIGMA, Mistajam, The Carnabys, and local favourites LewRey will all be taking to the mainstage at HudLive and if you're lucky enough to bag a ticket, you'll get to see Joe Lycett at HudComedy, who I’m sure you’ll recognise from popular comedy TV shows!
I can’t wait to see all you lovelies at Freshers’ Festival 2015 so if you haven’t got your tickets yet or want more information on the week, head to http://freshers.huddersfield.su! We’ve already sold out of our Super Earlybird and Earlybird Full Passes so make sure you don’t miss out!
See you soon.
