A third successful trip for the French Society saw them take in the sights and sounds of Liverpool.

The society – which is not exclusive to French students – took 20 students to the former European city of culture and their itinerary included a visit to the Albert Docks and its museums, sea front walks and shopping in the famous city centre mall, Liverpool One.

They ended the day in style with drinks in Imagine that offered a sneak peek of Liverpool nightlife in the Cavern Quarter before taking the bus back to Huddersfield.

Patrik Vodak, a European Business student from the Czech Republic said it was an amazing trip to an amazing city while Tevin Nyansimera, an Architecture student, said: "A wonderful and enriching experience. In spite of the cold temperatures, it was an excellent trip 9/10."

It is the third trip organised by the French Society this year, after earlier visits to London and Leeds, and Liverpool was a great success.

They are not resting on their laurels though and are already planning and looking forward to their next trip – this time to the historic city of York on 9 May.

All the pictures from the event are available on the French Society’s Facebook page and you can find out more about the society and how to join on their webpage

It’s not all trips though and the society has a busy social calendar including bi-weekly conversation groups and on-campus events plus more.

Their aim is to share the French culture and language by bringing French and international students together in a warm, fun and friendly society.
