After a fun week of campaigning and voting, the results are in… we’re proud to present your 2018 Elections winners!
The results were announced live on stage last night in Zetland, with candidates, campaigners and well-wishers in attendance!
And without further ado, here are the results...
The highly-anticipated evening marked the conclusion of a very exciting Elections period and celebrated the hard work that all candidates and their campaigners put in over the course of the Election process.
This year 3,495 of you voted. That’s just over 18% of all students, with the Business School having the highest turnout! Want to find out if you made it into any of our Elections coverage? Or perhaps you didn’t make it onto campus this week and want to see what all the fuss was about? Check out the Facebook photos!
Your new Officer Team, complete with a few familiar faces, are ready to stand for all the things you want at University. Those new to their positions will start in June. Until then your current 2017-18 Officer Team will remain in place; ready, willing and able to help you!
We also announced the newly elected SAE Reps last night, Umer Khan and Hamza Shaikh are your new Societies Reps and Leonardo Bevilacqua and Isabella Lowell are your new Sports Reps!
We’d like to thank all candidates and campaigners for taking part in the Elections; it was a blast! We look forward to working with the 2018-19 Officer Team to make student life better for all of you.
