Sports clubs have shown their support for LGBT History Month by donning rainbow laces for their fixtures.
Rainbow Laces is a campaign run by the lesbian, gay and bisexual charity, Stonewall, and is aimed at kicking homophobia out of football.
During 2014 it saw a massive rise in popularity as players from over 70 professional football clubs took part in the campaign including England internationals Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Our clubs have taken it beyond the realms of football though with the laces being worn by H-Karts, Rugby League, Netball and more.

Remember you can get involved and lace up for LBGT History Month by buying a pair of laces from the Students' Union Helpdesk for 50p. All proceeds from sales will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust.
The Trust's mission is to ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people are able to live in accepting, supportive and caring homes, by providing a range of services to meet the individual needs of those who would otherwise be homeless or living in a hostile environment.
They provide a wide range of support to make this possible to help enable young people to successfully live independently.
